First-half
Kick- off Juventus
1 Over Trezeguet heads high after Molinaro gets down the left flank and crosses toward the penalty spot. Cech was never worried.
8 Knocks Couple of early injury concerns for Pavel Nedved who spends two spells on the ground for treatment. The first is a blow to the head while the second looks like he might have been hurt in the ribs by a challenge from Nicolas Anelka.
12 Juventus sub Nedved can't continue and is replaced in midfield by Hasan Salihamidzic.
13 Chance Ballack wins possession from a sloppy Chiellini, but can't find the target with his shot. Had he looked up he might have seen Nicolas Anelka unmarked.
18 JUVENTUS GOAL Iaquinta races through on to a deep diagonal ball played over John Terry's head and lifts the ball over Cech into the corner. All square in the tie.
21 Save Cech pushes the deep-lying Del Piero's drive over the bar after Ballack had surrendered possession cheaply.
26 Ambitious From at least 35 yards, the mercurial Del Piero drives a free-kick straight at Cech, who holds. A minute later he is out to deny Iaquinta as the forward gets round the back again.
39 Wide Ballack jumps but fails to get enough power or precision on his header and it bobbles behind for a Juventus goal kick.
44 Claims Drogba hits a free-kick hard and low. Buffon spills it at the foot of his post and it looks like it may have crossed the line, but the goalkeeper away with it.
Stoppage time: 2 minutes
45 CHELSEA GOAL This time there is no confusion as Essien bundles the ball over the line from close range for a valuable away goal. Lampard's initial shot had been deflected on to the cross bar, from where it bounced down on to the line. Now Juve need three to go through.
45+2 Yellow card Salihamidzic is booked for a foul.
Half-time: Juventus 1 Chelsea 1
Second-half
Kick-off Chelsea
53 Abused Giorgio Chiellini is booked for chopping Ballack in two. It presents Drogba with another free-kick opportunity in a similar position to his controversial first-half effort. He hits the target again but only finds Buffon's chest.
59 Threat First chance of the second half for Juve as Cech holds on to Del Piero's header after Salihamidzic had crossed. Moments earlier Terry had deflected Molinaro's cross away from danger
60 Juventus sub Sebastian Giovinco replaces Vincenzo Iaquinta.
62 Booking Cech is booked for handling outside his area after chasing a loose ball and trying to prevent it going for a corner. The free-kick eventually ends up with sub Giovinco who sends his shot way, way over.
64 Save Cech quickly makes amends as he tips Trezeguet's powerful header over the bar.
65 Chelsea sub Essien is replaced by Juliano Belletti after putting in an encouraging shift, and scoring a decisive goal.
68 Booking Drogba is booked for hauling down Giovinco in the centre circle.
69 Red card Chiellini goes through the back of Drogba as Chelsea break. The ref waves for the advantage but when play is stopped, the Juve man is shown a second yellow and dismissed.
72 JUVENTUS GOAL Del Piero converts a penalty, softly struck low to Cech's right. The captain's own free-kick had been deflected, and the ref pointed to the spot for a handball, somewhat controversially. It looks like it was given against Belletti. The game is back on.
78 Juventus sub Last change for Ranieri as Trezeguet is replaced up front by Amauri.
82 CHELSEA GOAL Drogba has his goal! Ballack slides it low into the six-yard box and there is the Ivorian, leg outstretched, to tap home a goal that looks to have guaranteed a place in the last eight.
87 Booking Ashley Cole is yellow carded for a trip on Giovinco, who had shown him a clean set of heels.
88 Chelsea sub Ricardo Carvalho replaces Alex in the centre of defence. It is his first outing since coming off against Ipswich in the FA Cup, back in January.
Stoppage time: 4 minutes
90 Yellow card Nicolas Anelka is booked, possibly for time wasting. Ballack has a shot saved by Buffon, who then saves from Belletti.

Comment
Michael Essien scored his first competitive goal since April as he came back into the starting line-up in a right-sided role he fulfilled in pre-season.
We have not won away in the Champions League since beating Rosenborg 4-0 on November 28, 2007.
We will be competing in our sixth quarter-finals in seven years. The only time we did not progress was 2005/06 when Barcelona eliminated us in the last 16.
Chelsea's away record against Italian teams going into this game was Won 1, Drawn 4, Lost 3. The only previous win was against Lazio in the 2003/04 group stages of the Champions League, a 4-0 win. - Adapted From ChelseaFC.com -Liverpool 3 : 0 Fake Madrid AGG Liverpool 4 : 0 Fake Madrid Real Madrid So Pro Also Lose Till Like This ??
